Curren$y – The Field Lyrics Ft. OJ Da Juiceman
In January, Curren$y released his JETLANTA project, where he and CornerBoy P & T.Y. recorded a full project in Atlanta primarily with the city’s own Don Cannon. His newest release, The Motivational Speech, brings him together with some more important Atlanta figures. Lex Luger, who can easily be called one of the most influential producers of the last decade, provides the instrumentals throughout, and on closing track “The Field,” ATL’s OJ Da Juiceman makes a guest appearance. Closely affiliated with Gucci Mane in the lat 00s, OJ has some serious cred in the trap world, not to mention one of its most iconic ad-libs. On “The Field,” he and Curren$y are a surprisingly effective combination. Spitta is at his most confrontational on the hook, matching the energy of Luger’s driving synth concoctions. When OJ shows up, he sounds as invigorated as ever.
