If you have been trying to protect your blog contents from being copied and used by content thieves on their own blog and have not taken the proper measures then you are simply wasting your time. I have written a simply guide titled Steps to Prevent Your Blog's Content From Being Copied which shows you the simple methods via which you can protect your blog contents from being copied.
The popular methods as have been suggested and on several blogs is theDisabling of Text Selection/Copying,Disabling of Right Click on Images, Disabling of Right Click on Blog, and many more. All these methods work perfectly but one thing you should remember is that the script and codes are only active in your blog page or website. Content thieves have a very easy means they can use to copy your content without the need of visiting you web page at all thus making the precautions you have taken to protect your contents useless. All they need to do is just subscribe to your post feed which will keep them updated for recent posts on your blog. By default, Blogger normally puts the entire content of each of your blog’s post in your site feed which Feedurner helps send to the email of your subscribers. When content thieves subscribe to your site feed, they simply get the full post and so can copy whatever they want to copy.
But as the saying goes “Every problem has a solution and every solution a problem”. Today, I am going to show you guys how you can shorten your Blog’s RSS feed for every post on Blogger so that what your site feed subscribers will be receiving will be a caption of your new post. This will help generate more traffic to your blog since your subscribers will have to visit your page to view the whole/full content. So here is how to shorten your site’s feed on Blogger
Log into your Blogger Dashboard.
Next click on Settings >>> Other.
Locate the section labelledSite feed.
Click on the drop downmenu for the field labelledAllow Blog Feed? and select Short.
Finally click on SaveSettings and you are done.
With that done, you have just shortened your site’s feed and so your subscribers will be getting only the caption of your post updates instead of the full post. This will help drive more traffic to your blog.
